Tai Chi is the perfect, low-impact beginner movement class that also helps relieve stress. It is accessible to people of all ability levels, including those who cannot stand. Tai Chi, also called tai chi chuan, was developed as a martial art in 13th-century China. This meditative movement blends flowing movements and relaxation with deep breathing.

Benefits of Tai Chi: Unlike high intensity exercise, this practice involves slow, low impact movements, but still has a host of fitness-related perks. In fact, tai chi improves your muscle strength, flexibility, balance, and aerobic conditioning.
