The G.R.E.E.N Foundation (TGF) provides community health education through outreach, education, client navigation and advocacy to help individuals and families access quality health care. Post-COVID-19 syndrome is a high alert in the Black community and it's important to know the risk factors and symptoms to protect yourself. Research suggests that symptoms can start to arise between one month and one year after having COVID.
In 2021, the Black community were victims of 56% of all reported hate crimes in Orange County (OCHR). TGF works with OC Human Relations and 211OC to help victims of hate crime access resources. Additionally, we facilitate Listening & Learning Sessions to discuss how we collectively can address racial equity and restore unity in the Black community. Join us for the next session on April 27 at 6pm on Zoom. Register here: Social Justice & Advocacy Cohort 2023 - Racial Healing Discussion Tickets, Thu, Apr 27, 2023 at 6:00 PM | Eventbrite
Since 2014, TGF has trained over 190 college students and young adults to be Community Health Advocate (CHA) leaders. Through community-based learning and hands-on experience, the CHA program focuses on social justice and advocacy training along with life skills and career development. We are looking to have more young adults join us for the next 2023 Cohort. Learn more here: https://www.thegreenfoundation...
